sitename: Mrs. E. Burke Collins and The New York Family Story Paper

Story papers such as The New York Weekly required an enormous amount of fiction to fill their multi-columned eight pages. In addition to several serials in various stages of completion, the papers also included a number of short stories, running one or two columns. Some writers merely contributed serials; others, only short stories; a few, such as Mrs. Collins, wrote both to maximize their income.

Mrs. E. Burke Collins was among the most prolific of the story papers contributors -- so prolific that it's hard to visualize the extent of her output when seen merely as a list. These pages offer another way of looking at her writing, by showing her publications on a weekly calendar, indicating continuing serials (which, for Mrs. Collins, usually involved three chapters per weekly installment) and short stories appearing in each issue.

Links are to jpgs or pdfs of some of the stories.
